“Woman From Texas” is the wildcard in this series. In the midst of painting and studying café culture across Europe, I captured her, a woman in downtown Fort Worth at 7 a.m., dressed in what I can only describe as cowboy business chic.
She was hustling for her coffee, likely late for a meeting, but carried herself with a kind of quiet authority that made it clear she was someone important. Her order was black coffee. Her energy was calm but focused, her determination unshakable. She left as quickly as she arrived. A fleeting moment, but a lasting impression. A vision.
Oil on canvas.

Framed in a natural pine frame.
